Frame & Rust Repair

Michigan Rust Is Undefeated. We're Not.

Eight months of road salt eats cars alive here. Most body shops replace panels; most muffler chains replace whole systems. We're the third option: a fabrication shop that cuts out the rot, fabricates the patch, and welds your car, truck, or 4x4 back to solid — for the cost of metal and skill instead of parts and markup.

From daily drivers with rusted rockers to project cars needing floor pans, automotive welding is exactly the kind of work other shops turn away and we take on.

What We Weld On Vehicles

  • Exhaust systems — pipes, flanges, hangers
  • Rust patch panels — rockers, cab corners, quarters
  • Floor pans and trunk pans
  • Truck and 4x4 frame rails — honestly assessed
  • Custom brackets, racks, and tow points
  • Steel, stainless, and aluminum components
What We Handle

Automotive Welding Services

Repair-first welding for cars, trucks, and 4x4s — because most "replace it" verdicts are really "we don't weld" confessions.

Exhaust Welding

Cracked flanges, snapped hangers, rusted joints, and leaking welds — repaired instead of replaced. We also fabricate custom exhaust sections and full systems in mild or stainless steel.

Rust Repair & Patch Panels

Rockers, cab corners, quarters, and body mounts. We cut rust back to clean metal, fabricate patch panels to fit, and weld them in solid. Michigan salt is relentless — so are we.

Floor Pans & Underbody

Rusted-through floor pans, trunk pans, and underbody supports cut out and replaced with welded-in panels. Sealed, solid, and ready for another decade of winters.

Truck & 4x4 Frame Repair

Cracked and rust-thinned frame rails on body-on-frame trucks and SUVs. Cut-out sections, fishplating, and reinforcement — with an honest assessment first. If a frame isn't safe to repair, we say so.

Brackets, Racks & Mods

Bumper mounts, roof rack feet, tow points, spare carriers, and one-off brackets for whatever you're building. Measured, fabricated, and welded to fit your vehicle.

Classic & Project Cars

The metal half of your restoration — panel fabrication, floor pans, and structural repairs. We work alongside your paint and body people. Custom fabrication covers everything else.

Common Questions

Automotive Welding FAQ

Usually, yes. Cracked flanges, broken hangers, rusted-through joints, and leaking seams are all weldable for a fraction of a new system. If a section is too far gone we fabricate a replacement piece rather than selling you a whole system. Custom exhaust fabrication is available too.
Yes. We cut the rusted section back to solid metal, fabricate a patch panel to match, and weld it in fully sealed. Floor pans, trunk pans, cab corners, and rockers are the classic Michigan repairs — we do them constantly.
Body-on-frame trucks, 4x4s, and SUVs — yes. We repair cracked and rusted frame rails and crossmembers with cut-out sections, fishplates, and reinforcement, and we're honest about the line: if a frame is too far gone to repair safely, we'll tell you. Unibody structural collision work belongs at a body shop, and we'll tell you that straight too.
We do. Patch panels, floor pans, custom brackets, exhaust, and structural metalwork for restorations and builds. We're not a paint-and-body shop — we're the metal half of the project, and we work alongside whoever's doing your finish work.
Depends on the metal and the location. MIG handles most frame, floor pan, and patch panel work; TIG steps in for thin material, stainless exhaust, and aluminum parts. You don't have to know which you need — that's our job.
Call (248) 520-3639 or send photos of the damage through the form on this page. Rust repairs are quoted after we see the metal — surface photos hide how far rust travels, so we confirm the scope before work starts. No surprises.
