Welding-First Approach

Not a Parts Swapper. A Fabricator.

Most trailer repair shops bolt on replacement parts. We're a fabrication shop — we cut, weld, and build. When your trailer frame cracks, we don't slap a bracket on it. We cut out the damage, fabricate a replacement section, and weld it back stronger than factory.

Whether it's a utility trailer that took a hit, a flatbed with a rotted deck frame, or a custom build from scratch — Moodt Fabrication handles it from structural weld repair to full custom trailer fabrication.

Frame Welding

Cracked Trailer Frame Repair

A cracked trailer frame doesn't mean the trailer is done — it means it needs a fabricator. Trailer frame welding is one of our most common jobs: we grind the crack out to sound metal, weld it with full penetration, and add a reinforcement plate so the frame comes back stronger than it left the factory.

Fatigue cracks, rust-weakened rails, broken crossmembers, cracked tongues — we see them all, and we'll tell you straight whether a frame is worth repairing. Wondering about yours? Read our guide: Can You Weld a Cracked Trailer Frame?

Types of Trailers

We Repair Every Type of Trailer

From small utility trailers to heavy equipment haulers — if it has a frame that needs welding, bring it in.

Utility Trailers

The workhorses of landscaping crews, contractors, and homeowners. Cracked frames, broken gates, rotted floors, and bent tongues are all common — and all fixable.

Flatbed Trailers

Heavy loads punish flatbed frames. We repair cracked crossmembers, fabricate replacement deck sections, rebuild stake pockets, and reinforce weak points.

Enclosed Trailers

Frame damage under enclosed trailers is common and hard to spot until it's serious. We repair the structural steel underneath and reinforce it to handle the load.

Car Haulers

Ramp hinges, tie-down points, winch mounts, and frame rails — car hauler trailers take constant abuse. We repair and reinforce the high-stress areas that fail first.

Dump Trailers

Dump trailers take impact loads that crack frames and destroy pivot points. We repair dump body frames, rebuild hinge points, and fabricate replacement sections.

Custom Builds

Need a trailer that doesn't exist off the shelf? We build custom trailers from scratch — snowmobile trailers, specialty equipment haulers, custom flatbeds, and more.

Beyond The Frame

Trailer Systems We Repair & Fabricate

Frames get the attention, but the systems bolted to them fail just as often. We weld and rebuild ramp doors and their hinges, landing gear and jack mounts, spring hangers and equalizers, crossmembers, axle spring seats, and rusted-out fenders and floors — the working parts that decide whether your trailer earns its keep.

Utility, flatbed, enclosed, dump, car hauler, horse and livestock — if it rolls, we work on it.

Why A Fab Shop Beats The Dealer

  • Dealers quote replacement — we quote repair
  • We cut, fabricate, and weld; they order and bolt
  • Discontinued parts get fabricated from scratch
  • Failure points get reinforced so they don't repeat
  • Days of welding, not weeks of waiting on parts
