The Jobs Others Won't Take

Heavy Iron. Clean Welds. Back to Work.

Heavy equipment takes punishment that eventually cracks frames, snaps mounts, and breaks attachments. Most general repair shops don't touch this work — they don't have the welding capability or the experience with heavy plate and structural steel.

Moodt Fabrication does. We handle the heavy structural weld repairs that keep your machines in service. Cracked booms, broken bucket teeth, snapped loader arms, bent frames, worn pivot points — we've seen it all and we fix it right.

Equipment We Repair

  • Skid steers and compact track loaders
  • Excavators and mini excavators
  • Wheel loaders and backhoes
  • Dump trucks and dump bodies
  • Bulldozers and graders
  • Buckets, forks, grapples, and attachments
  • Custom attachments and modifications
Hardfacing

Hardfacing & Wear Plate

Ground-engagement parts wear out long before the machine does. Hardfacing — building up wear surfaces with hard face welding — restores worn bucket edges, teeth, and blades and leaves them harder than they came from the factory. It's the cheapest way to double the life of the parts that eat dirt for a living.

We run hardfacing in the shop or on-site, and where build-up welding isn't enough, we fabricate and install AR400/AR500 wear plate. If your buckets, augers, or attachments keep wearing thin, stop replacing them — bring them in.

Hardfacing Services

  • Hard face welding on bucket edges and teeth
  • Dozer, grader, and plow blade build-up
  • AR400/AR500 wear plate fabrication and install
  • Auger and attachment hardfacing
  • Build-up welding on worn pins and bosses
  • Shop or mobile hardfacing service
What We Do

Heavy Equipment Welding Services

Construction equipment welding repair — from cracked frames to hardfacing and custom modifications, structural welding for machines that work as hard as you do.

Structural Frame Repair

Cracked and broken frames on heavy equipment are our bread and butter. We cut out the damage, fabricate replacement sections from matching material, and weld it back with full penetration structural welds.

Boom & Arm Repair

Excavator booms, loader arms, and backhoe sticks take extreme stress. When they crack or bend, we straighten, reinforce, and weld them back to service — stronger than they were.

Bucket & Attachment Work

Bucket edges, teeth, sidewalls, and mounting pins wear out and break. We rebuild buckets, fabricate new cutting edges, and repair or modify attachments to extend their life.

Dump Truck & Body Repair

Dump bodies crack at the floor, tailgate, and hinge points. We repair dump body floors, rebuild tailgates, reinforce sidewalls, and fix the hinge and pivot points that take the most abuse.

Custom Modifications

Need your machine to do something different? We fabricate custom attachments, modify existing equipment, add reinforcement, and build specialty solutions for specific job requirements.

Mobile Repair

Equipment that can't be transported gets repaired where it sits. We bring full welding capability to your job site and perform the same quality repair you'd get in our shop. Learn more about mobile welding.
